telstra said on thu twas able to provide 5g coverage to ½ of the australian pop where they live. the company added it planned to hit 75% pop coverage by the middle of the yr.

in its l8st set of figs, telstra said twas providing the l8st generation of mobile coverage at 2,650 sites round the country. the telco added it had over 750,000 5g devices on its network.

just prior to christmas, telstra renewed its sponsorship w'da afl til 2024, which will see the telco continue to run…, club websites na official afl live app. telstra said it ‘d also upgrade connectivity within the afl-owned marvel stadium in melbourne, become the “official tek and innovation ptner” of the league, and use the stadium as a testbed. in addition, telstra is aiming to create “1-odda realm’s most advanced stadium and entertainment precincts” atta stadium.   

“telstra tek and connectivity ll'be deployed ‘oer the nxt few yrs including fixed and 4g/5g networks upgrades, ai, mixed reality, and edge computing,” the company said atta time.

“from booking a seat to parking to engaging w'da match, attendees ll'soon be able to experience a new stadium experience b4, during, and after they attend the game.”

as pt of the deal, telstra retained the digital rites to highlites, replay, and on-demand streaming.

earlier this week, telstra international anncd twas appointing geraldine kor as its managing director for south asia and country managing director for singapore. kor was previously a director of global alliances and ptnerships at dxc tek asia pacific.
